TS Elida expected to become hurricane today off the west coast of Mexico
Storm Activity: 8/9/2020 – 8/10/2020
Tropical Storm Elida formed on late Sunday afternoon, just off the west coast of Mexico, and was moving west-northwest at 15 miles per hour. Elida is rapidly intensifying and is expected to become a hurricane today. It is expected to weaken quickly by Wednesday without any threat to land.
If Elida forms into a hurricane, as predicted, it would be the second Pacific hurricane of the season.
