Severe Winter Storm in Northern California: Impact Footprints Available

Another round of snowfall is expected in the Sierra Nevada region of California. Back-to-back winter storms have already blanketed several mountain regions with California’s San Bernardino County – being the hardest hit. 

On Saturday and Sunday, more than 38 inches of snow fell at Soda Springs in Nevada County, while Donner Peak in Placer County received 31 inches. Yosemite National Park has received up to 15 inches of snow and has closed for an indefinite period.  

The Sierra Nevada mountain range may experience 1 to 3 inches of snowfall through Tuesday. California has declared a state of emergency in 13 counties.
