Tropical Storm Nalgae likely to Hit Philippines as a Typhoon

 In Event News

Earlier this morning, a tropical depression in the Philippine Sea was upgraded to a tropical storm. It poses the risk of bringing powerful winds and torrential rain to the Philippines
throughout the weekend.

The Japan Meteorological Agency has officially named the tropical storm Nalgae while in the Philippines it is known as
Paeng. Currently, the storm is located about 400 miles east-southeast of Manila. It has already caused landslides and torrential rains in the Southern
Philippines as it gets closer.

The storm is expected to cause severe rainfall in Eastern Visayas on Friday and the Bicol area on Saturday. Further, it
is anticipated to make landfall in the northeastern region of Luzon on Sunday, as a typhoon.
